Job summary

AdventHealth in Riverview, Florida is seeking a Monitor Technician to observe and document patient telemetry, respond to changes, and support the healthcare team. The role requires proficiency in medical terminology and strong communication skills, with a preference for previous hospital experience and AdventHealth training.

The position involves day and weekend work, a focus on patient safety, and adherence to infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• Monitor technician experience or AdventHealth Monitor Technician training.
• Strong English reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office.
• Experience in hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to work flexible weeks incl. weekends/nights.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document ECG patterns and notify nursing staff of abnormalities.
• Maintain telemetry alarms per policy and ensure alarms are audible each shift.
• Document activities and support quality standards and initiatives.
• Keep telemetry logbook and assist in department operations.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and properly stored.
