Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Monitor Technician to provide continuous surveillance of telemetry monitors, record rhythm strips, and communicate rhythm changes to the care team.

The role ensures equipment is functional and configured correctly to support safe patient care. The incumbent will interpret EKG rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to escalate issues as needed while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Telemetry or EKG interpretation course completed during orientation period.
• 0-2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Observe and interpret telemetry monitors; record rhythm strips at established intervals.
• Identify rhythm changes and promptly notify the nurse or licensed personnel.
• Maintain effective communication with peers, staff, physicians, and leaders for care coordination.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with monitoring equipment; escalate as directed.
• Organize and track monitoring equipment; ensure proper configuration for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensure accurate lead placement and electrode application for optimal telemetry monitoring.
• Perform other duties as assigned; maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
