Northwell Health is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor cardiac activity for an assigned patient group. You will observe ECG outputs, interpret basic rhythms, and support nursing staff in managing alarms and patient safety.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred certification as AEMT-CC or EMT-P and about one year of related telemetry experience. Collaborative care and accurate data collection are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current NYSDOH AEMT-CC or EMT-P certification preferred.
• One year of EMT-P/AEMT-CC or telemetry tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate telemetry and ECG equipment.
• Observe cardiac monitor tracing for assigned patients.
• Monitor ECG monitoring bank.
• Record heart rate, PR interval and rhythm measurements.
• Notify nurses of rhythm changes and rate within 30 minutes of connection.
