Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based patient care in med/surg telemetry units. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.

The role requires a current New Jersey nursing license, BLS/CPR within 60 days, and at least one year of med/surg telemetry experience. BSN in progress encouraged; strong teamwork and quick learner essential.

Qualifications

Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
1 year of med/surg telemetry nursing experience is required.
BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
Ability to learn quickly, strong accountability, teamwork, and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care according to evidence-based policies and standards to ensure safe patient outcomes.
Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families, and the care team regarding status and plans.
Administer medications using current bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
Document Point-of-Care assessments and plans of care for each patient.
Provide patient and family education to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
Support multi-disciplinary discharge planning for safe transitions of care.
