Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry/ICU/Step Down care teams at a small-format hospital in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on assessment, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care for higher-acuity inpatient populations.

The ideal candidate has experience with cardiac, hypertensive, and insulin infusions, strong rhythm interpretation, and comfort with advanced respiratory support, including BiPAP and high-flow oxygen.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for higher-acuity inpatient patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Competency managing cardiac, hypertensive, and insulin infusions, with rhythm interpretation.
• Experience supporting patients requiring advanced respiratory therapies (BiPAP, high-flow oxygen).
• Strong collaboration and communication with interdisciplinary teams and telemedicine platforms.
• Comfort caring for critically ill patients and supporting short-term stabilization, including ventilated patients awaiting transfer.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide proficient nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Follow physician orders in delivery of nursing care.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Perform admissions, discharges, and transfers; prepare equipment for procedures.
• Ensure care aligns with state nursing standards and facility policies.
