Job summary

Great River Health Systems seeks a Clinical Education Supervisor to lead teaching programs, coordinate staff training, and supervise clinical education activities within the hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has an RN license in Iowa with an AA in Nursing and ACLS/BLS at minimum; BSN and precepting experience are preferred. The role involves collaboration with department managers, real-time coaching, and ensuring high-quality patient care through staff development.

Qualifications

• AA in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• RN with IBON license required.
• ACLS and BLS required; pediatric ACLS preferred.
• 1–3 years preceptor/mentoring experience preferred.
• MS Office and EMR proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate educational initiatives, training, and supervision.
• Provide real-time coaching and preceptorship for staff.
• Maintain knowledge/competency through in-services and required education.
• Communicate with leaders via phone, email, or in person.
• Support clinicians with assessments and documentation per policy.
• Evaluate performance and recommend actions with leaders.
