Job summary

Blue Origin Engines is seeking a Data DevSecOps Engineer III to design, implement, and operate secure data ingest and DevSecOps capabilities for rocket engine telemetry. You will drive decisions on streaming, indexing, and analysis while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.

You will own complex pipelines, mentor junior engineers, and advance observability and security practices, including CI/CD, IaC, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and testing software or data systems.
• Demonstrated experience as a DevOps/DevSecOps engineer or data engineer with ownership of production systems.
• Experience designing, implementing, and scaling data pipelines for high-volume streaming and batch data.
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure, high-throughput data pipelines for large-scale engine telemetry streams.
• Contribute to Engines DevSecOps and data ingest roadmap with phased implementation plans.
• Design streaming and event-driven architectures using Kafka, Kinesis, Pulsar.
• Own the design and tuning of search and observability capabilities (Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana).
• Establish and improve DevSecOps practices across the data platform and CI/CD pipelines.
