Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced SecDevOps Engineer (Level 4) to join our COMSEC team within the Core Systems and Components group. You will integrate security into development and operations, building secure, reliable systems for spaceflight initiatives.

You will collaborate with cybersecurity, software, and SRE teams to enforce policies, implement secure pipelines, and ensure compliance with NIST/CMMC frameworks, while supporting government contracting requirements and aerospace

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, SecDevOps or related engineering field.
• Experience integrating security into CI/CD and development workflows.
• Hands-on with security tools (SAST, DAST, scanners, SIEM).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of networking, encryption and secure communications.
• Familiarity with NIST RMF/CMMC/800-53 frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure DevOps pipelines and infrastructure.
• Integrate automated security testing and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows.
• Support COMSEC operations and ensure secure communications meet standards.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across environments.
• Enforce security policies and best practices across engineering teams.
• Monitor systems for threats and respond with Cybersecurity teams.
• Collaborate with SREs to build secure, resilient infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with government and industry security regulations.
