Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced SecDevOps Engineer (Level 4) to join the COMSEC team within the Core Systems and Components group. You will design secure DevOps pipelines, integrate automated security tests, and ensure compliant, secure communications across development and production environments.

Qualified candidates bring 8+ years in DevOps/SecDevOps, hands-on SAST/DAST, cloud and container experience, and familiarity with NIST RMF or CMMC.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
8+ years in DevOps/SecDevOps or related engineering discipline.
Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
Hands-on with SAST/DAST, vulnerability scanners, SIEM tools.
Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
Familiarity with NIST RMF, SP 800-series, or CMMC frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain secure DevOps pipelines and infrastructure.
Integrate automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows.
Support COMSEC operations ensuring secure communications meet applicable standards.
Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across dev and prod environments.
Enforce security policies across engineering teams.
Monitor for security threats and respond with Cybersecurity teams.
Partner with SREs to build secure, resilient infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with government and industry security frameworks.
