Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a SecDevOps Engineer (Level 4) in Denver, CO to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows. You will design secure DevOps practices, collaborate with Cybersecurity, SREs, and software teams, and help safeguard critical spaceflight systems across development and production environments.

The role requires 8+ years in DevOps/SecDevOps, cloud and container experience, and strong knowledge of security frameworks. A U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SecDevOps, or related engineering discipline.
• Hands-on experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
• Experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networking, encryption, and secure communications.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST SP 800-series, RMF, or CMMC.
• Active U.S. Security Clearance or ability to obtain one is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+.
• Experience applying NIST SP 800-53 controls for federal information systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure DevOps pipelines and infrastructure.
• Integrate automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows.
• Support COMSEC operations by ensuring secure communications meet standards.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across development and production environments.
• Enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices across engineering teams.
• Monitor systems for security threats and respond to incidents with Cybersecurity teams.
• Partner with SREs to build secure, resilient infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with government and industry security frameworks.
