Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant in the Telemetry department. This full-time, dayshift role includes 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends, and you will assist patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

Ideal candidates hold CNA certification, BLS, and preferably phlebotomy and EKG certifications; knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience in acute care or

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; hire.
• EKG certification preferred.
• BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care to all patients under the supervision of the RN in charge.
• Assist in maintenance of a safe environment.
