Job summary

Prime Healthcare’s Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant in Telemetry. You will assist patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the RN supervision, ensuring a safe environment on the unit.

Qualifications include CNA certification, High School diploma, and preferred phlebotomy, EKG, and BLS credentials with up to six months acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
