Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is hiring a Nursing Assistant I for the High Point Medical Center, in the Medical Telemetry unit. This part-time role requires assisting licensed nurses, performing designated basic care and daily living activities, and participating in care planning and safety procedures.

The position supports patient care in a 12-hour shift pattern with two shifts per week, from 7am to 7pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of a Nurse Aide I training program/competency evaluation.
• Nurse Aide I Registration by NC DHHS, Division of Health Services Regulation.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and promptly report changes to the licensed nurse.
• Document vital signs, heights, weights, intake/output and other patient data.
• Assist with daily living activities and comfort measures.
• Support nurse-driven treatments and delegated nursing tasks.
• Provide one-on-one patient observation and maintain safety at all times.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and mobility.
• Assist with meals and hydration; monitor dietary intake.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe patient care environment; stock supplies.
