Job summary

University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician I (CNA) for the 3 South Telemetry Unit. The role is full-time, night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

An active Maryland CNA license is required. You will work with the nursing team to provide hands-on care for telemetry and medical-surgical patients, document vital signs, assist with mobility, and participate in care planning in a

Qualifications

• Active Maryland CNA license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year of hospital or clinical setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care, monitor vital signs and aid mobility.
• Collaborate with nurses to implement care plans and ensure continuity.
• Document patient information and report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean patient care environment per regulations.
• Support coordinators in coordinating patient care activities and workflow.
• Participate in training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
