Job summary

CCMC Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a 3N Cardiac Telemetry Certified Patient Care Technician for night shift. The role involves direct patient care, observation, and coordination with licensed medical staff to deliver high-quality care in a telemetry setting.

Responsibilities include assisting RNs with admissions, transfers, discharges, recording vital signs, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must meet one of: Nationally certified PCT; WVUM PCT program; Current CNA certification in applicable state (OH/WV).

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports patient concerns/changes in condition to a registered nurse immediately.
• Assists RN with admission, transfer, discharge and general patient care duties.
• Records vital signs and assists in personal hygiene and comfort measures; records intake/output.
• Assists in specimen collection and other activities for assigned patients.
• Maintains clean and safe environment to help prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
• Communicates nutrition issues to RN (e.g., poor appetite or diet changes).
• Assists department with administrative tasks to support operations.
• Answers patient call bell and relays messages to appropriate personnel.
