Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Patient Care Technician-Telemetry for a full-time day shift (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) with alternating weekends and holidays.

Under the supervision of an RN, you will perform basic nursing care, monitor vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and help manage unit workflow to support patient care and safety. Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA/MA/EMT or nursing students with one clinical semester, and American Heart Association Basic Life

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications: CNA, CMA, EMT or nursing student with clinical completed.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities under RN supervision, including vitals and glucose checks.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing and eating.
• Reports changes in condition to nursing staff and maintains unit workflow.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly and uses effective communication with staff and family.
