Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (PCA) to join the patient care team on 6 South. You will support the RN with clinical tasks, monitor blood glucose, perform EKGs, and respond to emergencies using CPR/AED in a fast-paced telemetry unit.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, CNA certification or nursing student status, and Heartsaver CPR/AED training. This onsite role offers 40 hours per week on night shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or current nursing student who completed Fundamentals of Nursing or equivalent med/surg rotation.
• AHA Heartsaver CPR and AED training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical tasks under RN supervision, including blood glucose monitoring.
• Assist with EKGs, wound dressings, aseptic techniques, and patient safety.
• Respond to medical emergencies using Heartsaver CPR/AED and maintain patient comfort and privacy.
