Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the fast-paced 6 South Med/Telemetry unit. You will assist the Registered Nurse with patient care tasks, monitor blood glucose, perform EKGs, and apply dressings using aseptic technique.

This role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care on a busy telemetry floor. Candidates must have a CNA or be a nursing student who completed Fundamentals of Nursing; BLS/CPR training is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED certificate required.
• Certified nursing assistant or current nursing student who has completed Fundamentals of Nursing or equivalent med/surg clinical rotation.
• AHA Heartsaver, CPR and AED program required.

Responsibilities

• Support RN with clinical tasks including blood glucose monitoring, completing EKGs, applying dressings, using aseptic technique and responding to medical emergencies.
• Respond to patient and family needs and take an active role in the efficient operation of the unit.
