Job summary

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (PCA) to support the patient care team under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include blood glucose monitoring, ECGs, dressing applications, and responding to medical emergencies using Heartsaver CPR and AED skills.

The CNA/PCA role prioritizes patient and family centered care and efficient unit operations. Prior experience as CNA/PCA is preferred and licensure must be current.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED certificate required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license required.
• AHA Heartsaver, CPR and AED program required.
• Prior PCA/CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the RN with clinical tasks, including blood glucose monitoring, completing EKGs, applying simple dressings, and responding to medical emergencies.
• Respond to patient and family needs and assist in efficient unit operation.
• Adhere to Patient and Family Centered Care Model and maintain high standards of care.
