Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (PCA) to join the patient care team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The role includes assisting with clinical tasks such as blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, dressings, aseptic technique, and responding to emergencies using Heartsaver CPR/AED.

The PCA will support the RN and contribute to efficient unit operation while upholding the Patient and Family Centered Care model.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED certificate required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license required.
• AHA Heartsaver CPR and AED training required.
• Prior PCA/CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the patient care team under the direction of the RN.
• Assists with clinical tasks such as blood glucose monitoring, completing EKGs and applying simple dressings.
• Maintains aseptic technique and responds to medical emergencies using Heartsaver CPR and AED.
• Responds to patient and family needs and supports efficient unit operations.
• Practices Patient and Family Centered Care.
