Job summary

TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a patient care assistant to support nurses in the 15AB unit. The role focuses on basic activities of daily living and procedures under RN supervision, with opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic cardiovascular and surgical setting.

Responsibilities include safe patient care, device and supply management, and effective communication with the health care team. Full-time day shift available with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reading and math ability appropriate to the position.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under the direct supervision of an RN. Maintains competency of tasks in which the PCA has been trained.
• Maintains a safe environment. Reports safety hazards and completes safety event reports as necessary.
• Performs supply, equipment and environmental-related activities as required and ensures supplies are available for the next shift.
• Demonstrates growth, accountability, and collaboration with the health care team.
