Job summary

TriHealth is seeking an Acute Care Tech II for the Telemetry Unit at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, OH. The full-time day shift (6:30am–7:00pm) supports central cardiac monitoring and patient flow coordination in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities include basic patient care under RN supervision, safety compliance, effective communication with patients and team members, and maintaining equipment and supplies for seamless unit operations.

Qualifications

• 2 years High School Education
• Age 17 with work permit
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Reading and math ability appropriate to the position

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under the direct supervision of an RN.
• Maintains competency of tasks in which the PCA has been trained.
• Completes assigned tasks within required timeframe.
• Seeks clarification from the nurse when in doubt about how to proceed.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports hazards; completes safety event reports as necessary.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and coworkers; documents observations and tasks performed.
• Performs supply, equipment, and environmental-related activities; ensures readiness for next user.
• Identifies areas for self-improvement and supports organizational changes.
