Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant (Telemedicine) to deliver direct patient care and hold prescriptive authority under physician supervision. This APP operates as a credentialed, privileged provider billed through Medicare/Medicaid for outpatient care delivered via telemedicine.

The ideal candidate is licensed in Texas, NCCPA certified, with BLS within 30 days of hire, and comfortable delivering care in a telehealth setting alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited PA program.
• Current Texas Physician Assistant license.
• NCCPA certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in outpatient care or telemedicine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical and mental condition of patients by performing examinations and obtaining histories.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
• Prescribes or recommends medical therapies under physician supervision.
• Forms and implements comprehensive treatment plans with physician collaboration.
• Counsels patients and families on medications, regimens, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintains accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes; initiates referrals as needed.
• Provides consultative level services for conditions within the APP's scope.
• May perform procedures delegated by supervising physician.
• May cover additional shifts based on department needs.
