Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Physician Assistant for a primarily remote telemedicine role focused on headache patients. The position offers a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with initial training in Temple, TX and occasional in-person educational meetings year-round.

The APP provides direct patient care via telemedicine with prescriptive authority under physician supervision, supported by LVN and CHW staff, and opportunities to develop expertise in a growing subspecialty.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited PA program.
• Experience in telemedicine or primary care preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Assesses physical and mental condition of patients during telemedicine visits.
• Orders, interprets diagnostic tests to assess health care needs.
• Prescribes or recommends medical therapies under physician supervision.
• Forms and implements treatment plans and coordinates with the care team.
• Counsels patients on medications, regimens, and health promotion.
• Maintains accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
• Provides consultation-level services within specialty training.
• Performs procedures as delegated by supervising physician.
