Job summary

Knife River is seeking a Telemetics System Specialist to support the telematics stack, including SAAS platforms, POS and ERP integrations, and data quality improvements. You will work with fleet and field operations and the IT team to formulate practical solutions that meet internal customer needs.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, system maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration with business systems such as Command Series, APEX, Fuel Master, HCSS, and telematics platforms like Samsara

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, CS, MIS or related field.
• Two to four years of experience in software package configuration, installation, integration and maintenance.
• Two to four years of experience in general workstation troubleshooting and/or backend technology support.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementations of telematics solutions and integration to POS and ERP systems.
• Provide usage statistics to field and management operations on effectiveness of the telematics solution.
• Maintain software with patches, version upgrades and modules per corporate policies.
• Provide specialized application and technical support to Line of Business.
• Ensure all enhancements/releases are tested and documented per policies.
• Produce and maintain documentation on all systems to analyze and improve processes.
• Identify and integrate data security measures.
• Travel to subsidiary companies for implementations and support.
• Assist with scheduled on-call support and emergencies as required.
• Maintain and work with IT team to provide a stable environment for these applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
