Job summary

Knife River in the United States is seeking a Telematics System Specialist who will help manage and advance telematics solutions, integrating them with POS and ERP systems. The role involves supporting field operations, ensuring data quality, and providing technical IT assistance to multiple business units.

You will travel to subsidiary sites as needed, help with on-call support, and collaborate with the IT team to maintain a stable telematics environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, MIS or related field.
• Two to four years of experience in software package configuration, installation, integration and maintenance.
• Two to four years of experience in general workstation troubleshooting and/or back end technology support.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementations of telematics solutions and integration to POS and ERP systems.
• Provide usage statistics to field and management on telematics effectiveness.
• Maintain software with patches, upgrades and modules following policies.
• Provide specialized application and technical support to Line of Business.
• Ensure enhancements and feature releases are tested and documented.
• Produce and maintain documentation on all systems for process improvement.
• Identify and integrate data security measures.
• Travel to subsidiary companies for implementations and support as required.
• Assist with on-call support and technical emergencies.
• Collaborate with KRC IT Team to ensure a stable software environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
