Job summary

Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS)/Optometric Assistant (Telehealth) is the face of our patient care, guiding patients through telemed remote eye exams with expertise in eye health, preliminary testing, and product/service education. You will ensure a simple, human journey for every patient.

You will collaborate with Telemedicine Remote Physicians, maintain patient records, and help educate patients before transitioning to the sales floor while supporting day-to-day store operations

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience

Responsibilities

• Personally assist remote eye exam processes and act as liaison between patients and Telemedicine Remote Physicians.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
