Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Telecommunications Mechanic I at Minot AFB to install, test, troubleshoot, program, maintain, and repair digital switching and VOIP systems. Responsibilities include central office records, cable runs, and ensuring proper operation of BTS and related equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience troubleshooting, repairing and preventive maintenance for structured cabling.
• Experience with Cat5/5e/6 and fiber optics is a plus.
• Fluency in English; ability to read, write and follow technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain BTS equipment and systems, ensuring serviceability and repairs as needed.
• Maintain BTS work center records, including logs and inspection results.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and relevant tests on power and fiber.
• Install, modify, troubleshoot, and repair voice and non-voice systems and related equipment.
• Provide courteous customer service and interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and work both independently and as part of a team.
