It’s the way *you*want to be treated.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Answer incoming calls, greeting callers, providing information, and transferring calls.* Assists callers in determining the proper department or person they want to be connected.* Assists in calls where speed and accuracy are essential.* Performs clerical duties such as typing, filling, documenting, and other miscellaneous duties.* Maintains an organized Directory with updated information such as on-call schedules, updated and current telephone numbers/addresses, etc.* Follows all HIPPS laws and regulations.* Route emergency calls appropriately.* Contacts security and maintenance staff members when necessary.* Daily Census.* Utilizes Meditech/MOX, Outlook, and Cerner for e-mail, patient/physician look up.* Acts upon and follows policy and procedure for all emergency codes and disasters.* Utilizes and Maintains Air Messenger Pro paging.* Utilizes and maintains ComNet overhead paging and zone paging.* Utilizes and maintains ARC Call System.* Pages appropriate personnel audibly via paging through the Cisco switchboard system & CES.* Pages physician and staff via Microsoft Outlook.* Monitoring Fire (Siemens), generator, and security systems (Cure). Monitors alarms and contact proper personnel when needed.* Utilizes and monitors Rauland - Nurse Call.* Utilizes and monitors Security radio.* Dispatching Building Services during meetings, after hours and on weekends. Operators are responsible for documenting the incident and dispatching the technician on call.* Dispatching Home Health after hours and on the weekends.
