Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a Patient Safety Attendant in New Lenox, IL to provide direct observation and ensure patient safety under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role requires sitting for extended periods while monitoring patients who cannot maintain safety on their own.

Shift is 7p–7a, with benefits for full-time staff. Prior hospital experience is preferred and strong communication is essential for effective teamwork and radio communication.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to operate hand-held two-way radio.
• Must be willing and able to sit for long periods monitoring patients safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety through direct observation.
• Monitor patients under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Communicate effectively using two-way radio.
• Remain seated or stationed for extended periods as required.
