Job summary

Placements24 seeks an innovative Telecommunications Network Engineer to contribute to infrastructure development. You will design, implement, and manage complex networks across wired and wireless technologies, focusing on reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams, maintain documentation, and respond to incidents to ensure optimal performance and future expansions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications network engineering.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS and other routing protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy telecommunications network equipment, including routers, switches, and servers.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance speed and reliability.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to evaluate and integrate new network technologies and services.
• Respond to network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
