Job summary

Honest Networks is hiring a New Development Project Manager to expand the gigabit network into new development apartments in NYC, with occasional work in NJ, CT and PA. The role requires on-site presence at construction sites and the Lyndhurst, NJ warehouse, coordinating with real estate partners, trades, and engineers to ensure timely builds.

You will guide field technicians, manage cross-functional inputs, and maintain quality deployments in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Based in the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT or PA).
• At least 1 year of telecommunications experience managing multiple field teams.
• Experience installing/terminating Ethernet and fiber in residential MDUs; able to operate OTDR, Light Meter, and VFL.
• OSHA 30/40 preferred; knowledge of fixed wireless radios; DC power systems a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure execution against construction metrics (time to deploy, downtime, hours per job) and report progress.
• Organize a clean, efficient job site and plan weekly tasks to minimize downtime.
• Create build plans and schematics for Field Technician teams to follow.
• Collaborate with network engineers, operations, and account executives to ensure successful builds.
• Interacting with customers and building owners/managers in a friendly, professional manner.

About the Role

The New Development Project Manager will report to the Senior Project Manager - New Development at Honest Networks in our Construction department. They will be responsible for expanding Honest’s Gigabit Internet Network into new development apartment complexes in NYC and occasionally in NJ, CT and/or PA. The project manager will work collaboratively with our real estate partners, construction trades, construction managers, technicians and foremen to provide the technical guidance and in-field hands necessary to ensure builds with quality and timeliness. They will coordinate across functions, including working with network engineers, operations and account executives, to ensure successful execution of our build-out.

This role is on-site and requires consistent engagement at both new development construction sites in NYC and our warehouse in Lyndhurst, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful execution against construction metrics (time to deploy, minimal network downtime, man hours per job, etc.) and reporting tools necessary for monitoring progress against company build objectives.
• Organizing and keeping a clean and efficient job site. Plan a week and task in advance to minimize downtime.
• Create build plans/schematics for Field Technicians teams to follow.
• Experience with telecommunications engineering—knowledge of how to splice fiber, build and terminate MDF’s and IDF’s, experience working with fixed wireless and fiber preferred.
• Friendly and professional appearance at all times, including interacting with customers and building owners/managers on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements

• Based in the Tri-State area—New York, New Jersey, Connecticut or Pennsylvania
• ISP/telecommunications experience preferred
• This person should have at least 1 year of experience in telecommunications, managing multiple teams of telecommunications technicians building internet networks in challenging environments (urban commercial and apartments/MDU)
• Capable of installing, terminating, and troubleshooting ethernet (cat5/6) and fiber in residential (MDU/apartment) installs. Ability to operate OTDR, Light Meter, VFL and other fiber equipment/tools
• OSHA 30/40 strongly preferred
• Knowledge of and ability to deploy fixed wireless radios, including millimeter wave (e.g. Siklu, Bridgewave, etc.), preferred
• Knowledge of DC power systems a bonus
• Very good understanding of building construction, including identifying PT floors, riser vs plenum environments
• Ability to create design schematics preferred
• Experience using project management software (e.g. Asana, Monday.com) is preferred
