About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of telecommunications infrastructure, is looking for an experienced Telecommunications Installation Supervisor to oversee installation teams and projects in Upington, Northern Cape . This supervisory role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality installation of telecommunications equipment and systems across various customer sites and network facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a comprehensive understanding of installation best practices, and a proven ability to manage field teams effectively. This is a crucial position that ensures the successful deployment of critical network infrastructure. You will be responsible for guiding installation crews, monitoring progress, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining quality standards throughout the installation process. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct field installation teams engaged in telecommunications equipment and network setup.
• Ensure all installations are completed according to project plans, technical specifications, and company standards.
• Monitor and enforce safety regulations and procedures on job sites, conducting regular safety briefings.
• Manage daily work schedules, assign tasks, and provide guidance to installation crews.
• Conduct quality inspections of completed work and ensure all issues are addressed promptly.
• Train and mentor installation technicians, fostering a culture of skill development and teamwork.
• Liaise with project managers and clients to provide updates on installation progress and address any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, materials used, and work completion status.

Requirements

• Proven experience in telecommunications installation, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Solid understanding of telecommunications systems, including voice, data, fiber optics, and wireless technologies.
• Experience managing field crews and overseeing project execution.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a field service environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
