Job summary

DLR Group seeks an ICT Designer for its Telecommunications + Security Design team. Responsibilities include designing network cabling infrastructure from schematic to construction administration, and coordinating telecom with architects and engineers.

The role requires RCDD certification, 5+ years of experience, BIM/Revit and AutoCAD proficiency, and willingness to travel. Based in multiple U.S. cities including Omaha, with an emphasis on delivering human-centered design.

Qualifications

• Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
• At least 5 years of experience in the evaluation/design of telecommunications cabling infrastructure.
• Experience with Building Construction documents.
• Experience with BIM (Revit) and AutoCAD workflows.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel for meetings, site visits, and interviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop telecommunications cabling infrastructure designs from concept through construction.
• Prepare telecom cabling infrastructure plans and specifications.
• Prepare detailed telecom systems reports and narratives.
• Coordinate telecom design requirements with architecture, structure, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.
