Job summary

White Mountain Cable Construction is seeking an experienced Telecom Aerial Foreman to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems. You will lead on-site crews, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and provide guidance to less experienced teammates.

You will travel as needed for storm response, manage work orders, and ensure efficient, safe operations across projects in New England.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• DOT physical exam with a valid medical card.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Pole climber certification preferred or willing to become certified.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems per codes and customer requirements.
• Safely operate bucket truck, digger derrick, and excavators while on site.
• Maintain safe work areas and ensure smooth traffic flow on job sites.
• Work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders; use hand/power tools as needed.
• Provide guidance and support to crew members; travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
