Job summary

Bigham Cable Construction, Inc. is seeking a Telecom Aerial Foreman to supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems. You will be the on-site expert, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while guiding less experienced team members.

You’ll oversee operations, coordinate with the crew, and be ready to travel for storm response on short notice. The role emphasizes field leadership, adherence to codes, and delivering reliable telecom infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of related field experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems in compliance with codes and customer requirements.
• Safely operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and related equipment.
• Keep work areas safe and manage traffic flow on-site.
• Work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders, and use hand and power tools.
• Provide guidance to crew members and support on storm response travel when needed.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks documenting productivity and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred
  
  

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
