Job summary

CobbFendley is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Field Technician for our Frisco Office to support field operations and telecom infrastructure inspections. You will document field conditions, collect GPS data, and coordinate with project staff to ensure safety and quality.

Expect travel locally and regionally, with potential interstate duties; a strong background in civil infrastructure fieldwork and equipment operation is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of professional field experience in civil infrastructure.
• Knowledge of field operations, safety requirements and environmental considerations.
• Ability to travel locally, regionally, and interstate with possible overnights.
• Skill in using industry tools, equipment and field reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspection of OSP and communications infrastructure to client standards.
• Document field conditions with photos, GPS coordinates, and forms.
• Coordinate with project staff and maintain safe field operations.
• Observe QA/QC processes and raise scope questions when needed.
• Travel locally and out of state, including overnight stays, as required.
