General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Telecommunications Analyst to support the JSP ETM - NG program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This onsite, full-time role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, and a related technical degree.

You will detect, troubleshoot, and repair transport circuits, manage complex networks, and perform Tier III equipment repairs. Shift is Wed-Sat, 6:00am–6:00pm; telecommuting is not allowed.

Responsabilidades

• Detect, report, troubleshoot and repair to Pentagon Transport layer circuits in a 24/7 facility.
• Perform Operations & Maintenance responsibilities for complex Command and Control Networks.
• Work independently to troubleshoot and isolate complex network outages to minimize customer downtime.
• Develop and present modified engineering schematics to reflect current and proposed Network & Circuit design changes.
• Provision and re-route Command and Control Traffic to meet VIP & Flag Officer needs.
• Perform Tier III level repair of communications equipment down to the card and port level.
• Perform administrative duties for Type-1 Encryption management network including firmware & software upgrades.
• Utilize monitoring tools to provide reactive and proactive support for the clients’ network and systems infrastructure.
• Provide hardware, computer systems, and electrical components support in classified networks.
• Apply industry standards and ITSM best practices.

GDIT is seeking a Telecommunications Analyst to help the Network Support on our Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management - Next-Gen (JSP ETM - NG) program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

The current shift is: Wednesday through Saturday; 6:00am to 6:00pm

Due to the nature of work this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed and will require the employee to report full-time onsite.

HOW OUR TELECOMMUNICATIONS ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Detect, report, troubleshoot and repair to Pentagon Transport layer circuits in a 24/7 facility.
• Perform Operations & Maintenance responsibilities for complex Command and Control Networks.
• Work independently to troubleshoot and isolate complex network outages to minimize customer downtime.
• Develop and present modified engineering schematics to reflect current and proposed Network & Circuit design changes.

• Provide hardware, computer systems, and electrical components support and operations in classified networks.
• Application of industry accepted standards and best practices related to Information Management Operations and with ITSM best practices.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED:

• Clearance : Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Certifications : DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
• Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, OR equivalent work experience
• Year's Experience: 5 years of related hardware engineering experience.
• Technical Skills: Experience designing and developing information processing hardware, computer systems, and electrical components
• Location : Full-time onsite at the Pentagon - Arlington VA.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – DESIRED:

• Military Technical Control Experience
• Experience operating and maintain fill devices including DTDs, SKLs, KYK-13s, KYK-15s, KOI-18s.
• Experience operate and maintain encryption devices such as KIV-7/7Ms, Fastlanes, Taclanes, Key Generators, and STE equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in a DOD Information Technology environment.
• Knowledge and experience in digital and analogue circuit design and implementation.
• Experience in the analysis testing and troubleshooting TDM & TDMoIP circuits.
• Knowledge of IP and optical network operation.
• Must be knowledgeable of equipment to include transport systems (DWDM, SONET, TDMoIP and TDM), timing and sync, circuit test and analysis, electrical/physical interfaces, crypto, and circuit signaling.
• Must be knowledgeable of Promina/NX-1000 operation, provisioning, and installation.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $40.87 - $55.29. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
