Job summary

IES is seeking a Technical Manager to lead a team of Field Engineers and Technicians on client projects, overseeing safety, quality, scope, staffing, and schedule. You will report to the Program Manager and ensure contracts meet requirements.

This role requires at least five years of supervisory experience and telecommunications experience, a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Travel is required across branches.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and guide a technical team to ensure project execution.
• Define technical vision and opportunities for process improvements.
• Allocate resources across projects to meet milestones.
• Provide guidance on emerging technologies and trends.
• Maintain weekly project status updates to the Program Manager.
• Manage test results and ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop a staff training plan with certifications.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and recognize achievements.
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.
