Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Technical Manager to lead multiple client-based projects and supervise Field Engineers in alignment with IES standards and customer requirements.

You will manage safety, quality, staffing, scheduling, and financial aspects while maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating with the Program Manager on project milestones and test results. A high level of collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in supervisory or managerial roles.
• Five+ years in the telecommunications industry.
• Experience in customer interactions and general contractor interactions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of technical experts to ensure cohesive teamwork and project execution.
• Define the technical vision and strategy for the program with Program Management.
• Allocate resources across projects to meet milestones.
• Provide technical guidance and stay current with industry trends.
• Maintain project status reports and weekly updates to the Program Manager.
• Maintain test result management per IES standards and customer specs.
• Develop training plans using IES and manufacturer courses.
• Continuously improve processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Coordinate ongoing communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and recognize achievements.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
