Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Estimator for telecom, low-voltage, and construction projects in the Mid-Atlantic. The role focuses on preparing accurate estimates, reviewing drawings, and soliciting subcontractor pricing to support successful project execution.

The candidate will analyze costs, identify pricing opportunities, and collaborate with project leadership. The position is fully onsite in Baltimore/MD area with minimal travel.

Qualifications

• 3-10 years of estimating experience.
• Construction estimating experience required.
• Telecom, low-voltage, structured cabling, or fiber experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete project estimates and bid packages.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Identify project risks and pricing opportunities.
• Support bid strategy and proposal preparation.
• Maintain bid tracking and estimating records.
• Participate in project handoffs to operations teams.
• Collaborate with project managers and field leadership.
