Jobot in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Estimator to support telecom, low-voltage, structured cabling, and construction projects. The role involves preparing estimates, reviewing drawings, and soliciting subcontractor pricing to drive winning bids.

The ideal candidate has 3–10 years of estimating experience in construction, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel and estimating software. This is a fully onsite office position with minimal travel.

Qualifications

• 3-10 years of estimating experience.
• Construction estimating experience required.
• Telecom, low-voltage, structured cabling, or fiber experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software.

Responsabilités

• Prepare complete project estimates and bid packages.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Identify project risks and pricing opportunities.
• Support bid strategy and proposal preparation.
• Maintain bid tracking and estimating records.
• Participate in project handoffs to operations teams.
• Collaborate with project managers and field leadership.
