Job summary

Network Controls & Electric, LLC is seeking an Estimator to prepare quotes, perform take-offs, and coordinate with sales, engineering and project teams. You will assist with RFIs, developing scope of work documentation, and maintaining accurate project data.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Salary is complemented by comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications Low Voltage Systems OR strong estimating background.
• Experience supporting executive level management.
• Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize and multi-task.
• Strong communication skills including listening and speaking.
• Strong organizational skills including record keeping and time management.
• Experience with public utilities, government and commercial installations.
• Ability to analyze blueprints and prepare time, cost, material and labor estimates.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform take-offs and prepare quotes for customers and prospects.
• Collaborate with customers to understand product specs and respond to inquiries.
• Calculate labor hours, materials and services for quotes.
• Provide accurate quotes and influence buying decisions.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings with vendors.
• Update Estimating system with project data for tracking.
• Develop and submit RFIs to clarify project expectations.
• Communicate detailed project information to Project Managers and Technicians.
• Prepare a detailed scope of work with each RFQ.
• Assist with projects as directed by leadership.
• Manage changes in a controlled manner.
