Job summary

Antietam Broadband is seeking a Business Solutions Engineer to partner with account executives, translate customer needs into tailored technical solutions, and design fiber, VoIP, security, and cloud‑connected architectures. You will present, demo, and respond to RFPs/RFIs, while guiding implementation and training sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, IT or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years in telecommunications, networking or technical sales engineering.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VLANs and QoS.
• Hands-on experience with fiber networks, Ethernet, SIP/VoIP and UC.
• Familiarity with firewalls, SD‑WAN, VPNs and DDoS mitigation.
• Ability to design documented technical solutions with diagrams and proposals.
• Experience supporting sales teams in discovery, RFP/RFI responses and technical demos.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers alongside account executives to discover requirements.
• Translate business needs into Antietam Business solutions designs.
• Architect fiber, VoIP, networking, Wi‑Fi, security, cloud connectivity and redundancy.
• Create customized proposals and network designs meeting performance and compliance needs.
• Deliver presentations, demos, proofs-of-concept, and technical inputs for RFPs/RFIs.
• Train and support sales teams on products and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate handoff to engineering and operations; assist with escalations as needed.
