Job summary

Akkodis is recruiting for a Telecom Installation Specialist to deploy network infrastructure and perform essential cabling across customer sites in the United States. This role requires hands-on experience with Ciena products, precise installation, and diligent self-audits to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The position involves extensive travel to client locations nationwide, collaborating with field teams and maintaining inventory and data reports to close out daily activities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Telecommunications or 1–3 years field installation experience, or military training equivalent.
• Experience with Ciena optical networking products: installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and support for packet-optical/DWDM transport solutions.
• Willingness to travel 100% to customer locations nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Install Telecom Network Infrastructure equipment and perform system cabling.
• Deliver installation services exceeding industry standards and conduct self-audits.
• Manage inventory, provide data status reports, and follow up on issues daily.
• Travel to customer sites nationwide (100% travel) and leverage Ciena experience.
