Job summary

TrueNet Communications is seeking an Installation Technician to perform structured cabling, installation of voice and data systems, networks and wireless infrastructure. Duties include site surveys, equipment installation, testing, and meticulous documentation in a dynamic telecom environment.

The position requires up to 80% travel, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to coordinate with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 6+ years telecommunication experience with installations and maintenance.
• Ability to write and present procedures for customers.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain structured cabling and voice/data systems.
• Perform installations and maintenance of equipment and networks.
• Coordinate power cuts with customers within maintenance windows.
• Prepare final paperwork and deliver to customers on time.
• Manage inventory and calibrations of tools.
• Interface with customers and vendors; provide technical support.
• Ensure safety, quality and project profitability.
• Attend planning and progress meetings with customers when required.
