Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking an experienced Network Installation Technician Intermediate to lead the installation of telecommunication equipment and manage a small team. The role demands expertise in network infrastructure build-out and familiarity with Juniper, Cisco, and Ciena products.

Ideal candidates will have at least six years of experience in telecommunications and supervisory skills. This position supports remote work with significant travel across CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in the installation or maintenance of telecommunications equipment.
• Strong preference for candidates with a background in DOD/DISA IT networks.
• Must be able to work independently or lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team of Network Installation Technicians.
• Conduct network installations including routers and servers.
• Train and mentor junior personnel.

Skills

Network infrastructure build-out

Cable/fiber installation

Supervisory practices

Knowledge of ANSI/TIA standards

Hands-on experience with Juniper/Cisco/Ciena

Education

High School Diploma

Bachelor's Degree or higher (desired)

Tools

Microsoft Office Suite

Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR)
