Job summary

Black Box in the United States is seeking a Project Engineer to join the project operations team, acting as the liaison between field and office, and supporting project management with pre/post work submittals, RFIs, change orders, and field verification.

The role emphasizes communication, real-time progress tracking, and ensuring drawings and records stay current while coordinating with subcontractors and QA/QC teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using data to support decision making.
• Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
• Understanding of estimating and engineering best practices.
• Ability to identify change events.
• Knowledge of construction technology platforms, quality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between Field and Office to ensure project team alignment.
• Prepare RFIs, change orders and submittal packages.
• Review plans and specifications with the project delivery teams.
• Validate field conditions against design documents.
• Maintain redline drawings and project records.
• Provide daily/weekly reporting and issue escalation.
• Mentor field staff and oversee subcontractors.
• Lead field validation of telecom design and resolve conflicts via RFIs.
• Ensure timely closeout documentation.
