Job summary

Peraton seeks a Telecom FENS Manager to lead large-scale telecommunications programs for the FAA, directing 75–100 professionals in a high-stakes, on-site role.

You will drive delivery across fiber modernization, cloud connectivity, and enterprise services while ensuring governance, security, and tight budget control. FAA mission alignment and federal program experience are essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 16+ years leading large distributed telecom or network teams (100+ personnel).
• Proven track record delivering telecom programs in federal environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise network services, governance, and performance management.
• Experience with copper-to-fiber migrations, WAN/LAN modernization, and secure cloud connectivity.
• Experience supporting contract execution, workforce planning, and compliance reporting.
• Proficient in managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies (Agile/Waterfall/hybrid).
• Strong stakeholder management with senior leadership and external customers.
• Ability to conduct technical reviews, validation, and post-implementation assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated FENS execution across multiple telecom and network domains.
• Manage scope, cost, schedule, and risk for enterprise network services; coordinate FAA governance and stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day telecom program operations including fiber deployment, modernization, and cloud connectivity.
• Lead and manage a workforce of 75-100 telecom professionals.
• Ensure delivery meets contractual SLAs, KPIs, and FAA expectations.
• Oversee program execution including schedule, staffing, risk, and issue management.
• Partner with technical leads to align WAN/LAN, fiber, cybersecurity, cloud connectivity, and NOC teams.
• Support budget planning, cost control, labor forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Drive workforce performance through planning, training, and performance management.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies and resolve escalations across network domains.
• Ensure FAA AMS, RMF, NIST compliance with governance requirements.
