Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead complex, high-visibility FAA BNATCS initiatives within the National Airspace System modernization effort. This role requires delivering cross-functional cyber, network, and testing projects on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will manage teams, coordinate with vendors and customers, and provide executive-level briefings on progress, risks, and milestones. On-site in Herndon, VA is required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 10 years of experience leading cyber, network engineering, or software tester teams.
• Experience managing large-scale federal modernization programs.
• Proven success delivering federal IT programs with budgets >$100M+.
• Ability to lead geographically dispersed, cross-functional programs.
• Hands-on risk identification, mitigation, and issue resolution.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive briefing experience.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedules and budgets using structured PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
• Ability to conduct technical reviews, validation activities, and post-implementation assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical project leadership and people management for teams supporting a large federal program.
• Own full lifecycle of network, cyber, or testing projects from concept to deployment.
• Forecast workforce needs and develop talent.
• Translate requirements into executable plans, schedules, and budgets using PM methodologies.
• Align delivery with FAA modernization priorities and program goals.
• Support requirements analysis, readiness reviews, and operational transitions.
• Drive projects to completion within FAA standards, cost targets, and delivery commitments.
• Track progress against milestones, KPIs, and contractual requirements.
